Leather Care

Leather Care

AJAMIAN leather goods are made to be used, carried, and enjoyed over time. With proper care, full-grain leather will develop a natural patina and become more personal with age.

Daily Care
Avoid exposing the leather to excessive moisture, direct heat, or prolonged sunlight. When not in use, store your piece in a cool, dry place away from humidity.

Water & Moisture
Leather is a natural material and can react to water. If your piece becomes wet, gently blot away excess moisture with a soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.

Do not use a hairdryer, heater, or direct heat source.

Cleaning
For light dust or surface dirt, wipe the leather gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

Avoid household cleaners, alcohol, detergents, wet wipes, or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the leather or alter its color and finish.

Conditioning
Leather may benefit from occasional conditioning to help maintain its flexibility and appearance.

Always use a conditioner specifically intended for genuine leather and test it first on a small, discreet area. Apply only a small amount.

Scratches & Patina
Small marks, variations, and changes in tone are part of the natural character of full-grain leather.

Over time, the leather may soften, deepen in color, and develop a patina. This is a natural part of the aging process and gives each AJAMIAN piece its own character.

Suede Care
Suede should be kept away from water and oils as much as possible.

Use a clean suede brush to gently lift the nap and remove light surface dust. Avoid applying regular leather creams or conditioners to suede.

Storage
When storing bags or larger leather pieces:

  • Empty the contents
  • Keep the shape naturally supported
  • Avoid folding or crushing the leather
  • Store away from direct sunlight and humidity
  • Use a breathable dust bag where possible

Avoid storing leather in sealed plastic bags for long periods.

Professional Care
For deep stains, significant water damage, or more serious repairs, we recommend contacting AJAMIAN before applying any product or treatment.
